At Moravio, we pride ourselves on our ability to develop innovative and effective solutions for our clients. One recent project that showcases our capabilities is the "Space" project we completed for JLL, a global commercial real estate services company.
The goal of the project was to develop a software that would optimize the allocation of tables to departments in an office, with the aim of minimizing the amount of space used while still preserving the comfort of the employees. It was important that departments sit together in order to foster collaboration and communication.
The challenge of the project was in developing an optimization algorithm that could effectively balance these competing priorities. Our team worked closely with JLL to understand their specific needs and constraints, and used advanced mathematical modeling and computational techniques to create an algorithm that could find the optimal solution.
The algorithm takes into account factors such as the number and size of departments, the size and shape of the office space and other architectural features. By considering all of these variables, the algorithm is able to find the most efficient and comfortable arrangement of tables and seating.
The application we built:
- Provides an easy-to-use interface for inputting data on departments, office space, and other factors
- Generates a visual representation of the optimized table arrangement
- Includes a variety of options for adjusting and fine-tuning the arrangement, such as the ability to specify preferred seating arrangements for specific individuals or departments
The Space project is a great example of how Moravio's expertise in mathematical modeling and optimization can be used to solve real-world problems. We are proud to have worked with JLL on this project and look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
