We Are Also Organizing the Ostrava Barcamp This Year

We are pleased when the things we do make sense and Ostrava's Barcamp is a clear proof of that. The growing interest and popularity of this event every year motivates us to make each year a little better. It will not be different this year either, and together with Shopsys we are preparing the ninth year for you. And what can you look forward to this year?

Barcamp Ostrava 2019 will take place on November 30, and just like last year we will meet again at the VŠB TU Ostrava in the premises of the New Hall, where we will have three lecture halls. Registration of participants and registration of lectures will start 1.10. at 14:00, so be prepared to be among the first.

Last year, it proved useful for us to focus on a certain topic. And because we want to play with you a bit, we named the theme of the conference Let’s play! Gaming does not have to be just fun for children, but the form of play can also be used at work, for personal development or to create a completely new business, for example in the fast-growing gaming industry. The purpose of the topic is to reveal the behind the scenes and broaden the horizons in areas of business where elements of play, entertainment and interactivity are used.

The novelty of this year will be the connection of Barcamp with the support of a good cause. During the whole day of the event, a voluntary collection will take place to support the organization Zdravotní klaun, o.p.s. We believe that the work that medical clowns do is extremely beneficial, because we all know well how important the psyche is to cope with any problem. And we also know that laughter is the basis for a better mood. Let's all share some of the laughter and joy of Barcamp together, at least with financial support to the people who give laughter where it's needed.
